Law School Adventures

My very first memory ever, I was standing inside the front door of our house looking down the street for the school bus to come and pick me up for preschool. I was three years old. My mom was waiting beside me. When the bus arrived, she told me they won't let me get on if I'm sucking my thumb. I never sucked my thumb again. THAT's how badly I wanted to go to school.

In August 2026, I’ll begin my first year of law school. I turn 51 approximately one week before school begins. I have the same feeling I did when I was waiting for that bus long ago.

This blog is where I’m sharing the whole journey: how I got here, what I’m learning about myself, the challenges, the wins, and the real moments that come with starting something big later in life.

My life has been built with grit, discipline, and a genuine love of learning. These characteristics are exactly why this opportunity is even possible for me. I’m stepping into this next chapter with my sleeves rolled up, focused, grateful, and fully committed.

If you’re someone who’s starting over, leveling up, or thinking about chasing a dream that scares you a little (or a lot), I hope my story reminds you that it’s never too late to bet on yourself.

The rest is still unwritten....
